This quilt was my very first attempt at quilting. It was made a few days before my son, Billy, was born in October, 1985. It may not have been made with much expertise at the time, but it surely was made with a lot of love. It was in his crib all the time and kept him cozy until he grew out of it. The quilt was placed in the attic and brought back into use in 2002 when our first grandbaby, Sophia was born. Since then it has been used for grandbaby Elise and grandbaby Luke - when they visited their Mimi, Pop and Punky. Baby Nathan Kauwell, born August 31, 2009, is now enjoying this quilt when Mimi babysits for him. It comes in handy when nothing else comforts him. He loves to be wrapped tightly in this quilts.

Simone's Quilt
Our friend, Simone Taylor, embroidered this on the quilt top she made for our daughter Megan in January, 1978.

How about that neat fabric from 1978!
